## The pattern

The two largest markets, NSW and Queensland, are the least portable — both generally want certification under their own scheme. Western Australia runs its own approval process regardless of what you arrive with. SA, TAS, NT and the ACT are comparatively accommodating.

## How to make a re-assessment cheap

Whether or not a certificate carries over, a complete evidence pack is what determines whether the destination assessment is a paperwork review or a full re-engineering job. Bring the original certificate and report, the certifier's details and scheme, parts specifications, receipts and staged photographs of the work.
